Milan Fashion Week A/W 23/24 took place from February 21-27. As usual, Italian brands invested heavily in sophisticated tailoring and refined sensuality. Check out four key trends identified on the catwalks of Prada, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana and more.

1. Neutral Shades

Brands such as Prada, Bottega Veneta and Fendi featured basic and minimalist pieces, with references to the 1990s. A palette of neutral colors was key at Milan Fashion Week, with main colors of beige, off-white, gray and black.

2. Enhanced Lingerie

Materials such as lace and satin were used in looks inspired by the intimates category. The Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Alberta Ferretti shows offered sophisticated sensuality with lingerie-inspired see-through dresses, as well as bras.

3. Animal print

For patterns, animal print is one of the favorites among brands at Milan Fashion Week, renewed through differentiated designs with a wide scale. Jaguar, tiger and snake patterns gained strength for the season and were the choice of brands such as GCDS and Sportmax.

4. Tailored Sets

Combining work with leisure, the tailored set was presented in pastel shades alongside shoulder pads, marked waists, front creases and pants with a slightly fitted design. It gained prominence in Jil Sander’s collection.
