Prints played various roles during the international fashion weeks. Whether reinforcing a classic look or refreshing surfaces with bold proposals, patterns such as checks, polka dots, stripes and splatters made a statement on the runways. Below is our analysis of some of the most prominent prints featured on the catwalks.
Pinstripes
Pinstripes are a classic that has made a strong comeback for Winter 2025. This print was widely explored in women's collections, particularly used within modern and relaxed tailoring.
2. Stripes
Stripes on the runways appeared in both vertical and horizontal lines. Two-tone designs ensured greater marketability, especially when combining a neutral hue with a colorful one. Nevertheless, many brands opted for irregular and multicolored stripes, creating a fun and laid-back look.
3. Check
This pattern emerged in variations such as tartan, Prince of Wales, and Old England checks. Combinations of muted tones were key, particularly grays and earthy colors. In a more relaxed fashion, checks were presented in colorful versions and through cutouts, as seen at Sinead Gorey.
4. Polka dots
In two-tone versions, the designs ranged from widely spaced polka dots on the fabric to more closely packed and symmetrical alternatives. For an updated take, pair the print with transparent materials or ruffles.
