Milan Fashion Week: Soft Greens on the Rise

From lighter and more muted shades to medium and vivid tones, soft green was a standout at Milan Fashion Week for S/S 24.

Just look at the Milan Fashion Week runways for S/S 24, which took place from September 19-25, to notice the presence of soft greentones gracing flowing dresses, lightweight tailoring, utilitarian pieces and clean cuts. The color, reminiscent of Italy’s most popular ice cream flavors of mint and pistachio, offers high-commercial potential, especially when leaning into a tropical vibe.

1. Mint Green

Mint green is a fresh and fun color that is always capable of refreshing an outfit. It was seen in casual urban looks in Milan, but looks equally captivating in partywear dresses and minimalist tailoring.

2. Faded Olive Green

Shades of olive green or military green are timeless fashion classics. Imagine these shades in faded, lighter and more subdued tones – these appeared on the runways in tailored pieces, clean cuts and utilitarian references, exuding a more elegant feel in this color level.

3. Pastel Green

Pastel green tones are lighter, softer and convey a sense of calmness. It’s no wonder that during Milan Fashion Week, these colors were applied to fluid pieces – be it a pair of pants, a dress or a blouse – that seems to glide comfortably over the skin. This hue is achievable for sustainable brands that rely on natural dyes.
